Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante Coupé 1937

Back to List

1:12 scale Ltd. Ed. of 2000
Designed by Jean Bugatti, Ettore’s son, a total of 710 Type 57 chassis were built between 1934-40. The lowered 57S chassis was used for the only 17 Atalantes built. Five Atalantes are known to still exist. This beautiful and exceptional, large scale model is a tour de force. Made with about 2000 individual pieces, making it more intricate than a fine Swiss wristwatch. Just about everything on this magnificent model works. Doors, bonnet, boot open. Steering and suspension works. Fully detailed engine, dash, instruments, and so on. Grained leather upholstery, carpeting. Sun visors, rear view mirror, and wipers. Knock off spoke wheels, with scale tyre tread. And on and on and on! All this in a large 1:12 scale model. When Bauer made the sensational Mercedes 500K Spezial a year ago, it caused a run on the model, and we couldn’t get enough of them to satisfy the demand. I say this, because there’s already a run on this Atalante, and at the time of this writing, they’re not even finished building them!  about 17” long, 6 ½” lbs
